It was rainy cloudy morning here in Mexico this morning. Our men net with the men of the Fellowship Church in Playa for Bible study at a local restaurant. After their study we all set out to give out information about the church. On our trek to hand out information about the church we met Mayo. He wanted to know where the church was. Then he asked, “Are you a Christian?” I said, “I sure am!” He smiled and said, I am too.” For the next few minutes we chatted about how God had brought us to Playa and how we had fallen in love with the people here. He smiled and thanked us for coming.
We met several others along our path that thanked us. One older gentleman wanted badly to communicate with us in English. Through broken English he said, “Jesus, in my heart.” Pointing to his heart and smiling big, he communicated with no problem. We smiled and said, "Jesus is in my heart too." We have enjoyed our time here and are sad to see it end, but we leave knowing God is at work. There is still much to do. In the days to come we hope to help raise funds for the hotel being built in Chan Chen. You can join us on mission as we serve God in Alabaster and maybe even travel with us next year. Thank you for being a part of this mission adventure. |
