Proverbs 21-24: Last week I saw a report that said that the leader of North Korea was willing to allow Christianity into the country as a part of the deal being worked on with the United States. I do not know the validity of that report or if the leader would even allow it to happen even if the deal does go through, but it led me to pray this verse over the situation.
Proverbs 21:1 “The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.”
I am not being political in this post, just being thankful that God uses leaders to do His will. I pray that the wall will be broken down and that the Light of the Gospel will be shown into this country that has been dark for so long. I pray for the political leaders as they meet and talk that good would come from their meetings. I pray that this will serve to bring revival across our globe. I pray that Americans who have had such freedom to hear and share the gospel message will live it here in our own country and that we as a people will confess our sin and get back on track.
Proverbs 21:2 says “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.”
May the Lord remind us of our own shortcomings. May we as the people of God stop turning on each other and see that there are lost people all around us, not just in the “dark” places in our world. May our hearts be struck with love for those who are different from us right here. May the Father turn our hearts as well as the hearts of kings to be obedient to His will. May the gospel go forth!
