Walk What You Talk

Matthew 22:15-23:39; Mark 12:13-44;
Luke 20:20-21:4; 13:31-35: Do you practice what you preach? That is a great question to ask. It is easy to talk the “Jesus lifestyle” but living it is a whole other thing. We know truths but true disciples don’t just know truth, they walk in it. Here is how Jesus said it,
Matthew 23:1 “Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2″The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, 3so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice.”
Ouch! What a scathing rebuke. I fear that these words could apply to many church leaders today as well. It is also applicable to church members. The truth is you may be able to fool others, MAYBE, but you do not fool God and He will hold you accountable. You may not be as cunning as you think you are with others as well. Those who have even the least bit of discernment see straight through a false exterior. Be real with yourself and with others. Walk what you talk and be the real deal.
